How to Order a Repeat Prescription

The dispensary is open Monday- Friday 08.30am -18.00pm with a closure for lunch between 13:00pm and 14:00pm.

When you have a valid Repeat Prescription Slip this gives you the ability to continue to be issued prescriptions for your medication by the Practice without the need to speak to a GP. This will be subject to medication reviews.

Doctors will usually authorise 28 days of medication, or up to 6 repeats before the patient is asked to see or speak to their doctor before further medication can be issued.

Please note that the practice needs 4 working days to process requests for repeat prescriptions. It is the patient’s or their carer’s responsibility to ensure the request for repeat medication is made in a timely manner and not allow their medication to run out.

For patient safety, and to help the practice adhere to national guidelines, the practice will not accept requests by telephone.

To request a repeat prescription, you must either fill in the repeat slip and bring it to the surgery, use your own online pharmacy to request your  prescription, use Patient access online or the NHS app to order or if you prefer you can email your request to edenbridgedispensary@nhs.net

There are also post boxes both inside and outside the surgery to deposit your requests, these are regularly emptied throughout the day.

Patient Access

  • Patient Access has changed their security settings. You will now need to download the authenticator app as they have added two factor authentication. If you are struggling, please google patient access and they will have a self help guide on their website. The surgery is unable to help with this.
